Saturday 14th August 2004
The day started at 11.00am with a trip round Evesham town centre for the Mayor and Mayoress, in the vintage 'Stanley' steam car. At 12.00 noon the Mayor officially opened the rally. After another trip in the Stanley, the Mayor and Mayoress visited the many and varied trade stands and marvelled at the cars, tractors, vans, lorries, bikes, engines and so much more. They even had a go at steering 2 of the vintage steam tractors, including the 1902 'Lady Betty', around the arena. Some1700 exhibitors, make this show the largest in Evesham and one of the largest in the country. A spectacular event. Well done to Keith Shakespeare and all the organisers.
