The Heart of England in Bloom competition covers many areas. Points are awarded for local community involvement.

 Evesham also runs it's own Schools competition.

Overall impression - Wow factor

Student participation - Planting, watering, designing planters etc.

Maintenance - Quality of maintenance regardless of who carries out the work

Use of curriculum - Science, art, maths, English, gardening, conservation

 Reception - Welcome received at school

Presentation - Tour of school, notice boards, awareness of work done and of Britain in Bloom

Variety - Hard landscaping, flowers, conservation areas, special projects, theme gardens

Funding - PTA, sponsorship, begging, fund raising
